the started out good, but ended bad, but coulda been worse, bad day.

So yesterday started out to be a good day. Yesterday I got up, got dressed, left all my written out Petra instructions (yes, I am THAT compulsive about leaving her still) and headed out to work. Every other Saturday I clean this lady's house with Rachael Mangum (whom I love). So we get there, ring the door bell, and after giving her an ample half an hour to open the door, turn on a light, something, we decide that she might still be out of town and leave. (don't worry, we made a few phone calls later in the day to confirm that she was alright) Hurray! I get the day off! This is exciting to me because Jeffrey only had to deliver pizzas for a few hours that night so that means we had almost the whole day together. yippee! I come home and suprise Jeff and we spend the day eating at Chilis, going to Bass Pro Shop to check out the fish, and hang out together with our daughter. Now, during the course of the day Jeff mentions that he is not feeling well, and is having periodic pain in his lower regions. Nothing to serious, just slightly uncomfortable now and then. So after our day out we come home and take a family nap. Those with kids know this RARELY happens so it was quite the treat. A little later Jeff heads off to Gino's to deliver pizza for a couple of hours. Knowing he has expressed interest in seeing Ocean's 13, I arrange for my sister Chanel to babysit for us that night so we can go see it. (side note, Kayleen, remember when I baby sat for you when I was still pregnant and you gave me movie tickets as payment? thanks for the movie!) Jeff calls me when he is on his way home, in a hurry, cuz he was a little late getting off, and as we are talking, he says "honey I have to call you back, someone just hit me". Then hangs up. Of course that worries me, but luckily no one was hurt. He calls me back and tells me that someone opened their car door into is car, denting it. He pulled into the closest parking lot, thinking they would follow, but as the light turns green he yells, "hey come on!", they just drove away yelling sorry. lame. so now he is in a bad mood, and in the mean while, the pain he was complaining of earlier is getting worse. Well by this time, Chanel is already here so we decide to go to the movies anyway. During the whole movie Jeff grew more and more uncomfortable. Afterwards we hurried right home to relieve nelly and let Jeff get some sleep. We hit the hay pretty quick, and I crashed, only to wake up at two am to Jeff crying in pain in the bathroom. I guess he never really got to sleep and had been in growing pain all night. We called his parents and his mom sat with pita while his dad drove us to the ER. fun. However, we lucked out as far as the ER goes and found it completely empty! Literally. the only other patient there was already in a bed and was just a drunk man getting undrunk as far as I could tell. So we got right in! Not bad for a three am ER visit. After a few tests, we discovered that Jeff had a bladder infection (luckily no kidney stones) and they gave him a killer pain-killer shot and a perscription for MORE pain killers and antibiotics. Jeff was pretty hilarious on drugs and I had to prevent him from jumping out of bed and preaching to a bunch of nurses we over heard discussing "Jack Mormons" and were "those the ones who had seven wives?". (Disclaimer: I don't ever mind Jeff playing missionary, he was just all loopy and drowsy and in a gown, so I wasn't sure what was gonna come out of his mouth.) All in all it was a weird, up and down kinda day. At least it made things interesting. What were your days like?
