because you are dying to know...

(the niece has the halo too...)
the weekend away went great.
I bonded with friends, enjoyed a break, ate well, slept well (thanks to kind and generous people, strangers and friends alike), and laughed. hard. really hard. I really love my friends.
Easter went great. The in-laws were in town and it was nice to have family for the day. Petra got lots of attention and love. We had an incredible time walking that afternoon as well. Petra was wearing all the colors of spring at one time. (not pictured are her hot pink rain boots, perfect for splashing)
Monday I was rested, refreshed, my tank was filled, and I was excited for Tuesday to hit. I had plans with a girl in the ward for her to come with her two sons to play for a bit. She has a great hair cut and nice taste in clothes. I was nervous, but hoping to make a friend.
Then the universe decided I had had enough good karma for the time being.
Midnight rolls around, and I am awakened to a sick daughter. Vomit abounded. We spent most of the night watching tv, puking, cleaning up puke, washing blankets and rubbing backs. Poor dear. There goes my play date.
It's been a fun few days, and the nurse tells me it should be fun for several more. There goes my rescheduled play date.
She seems to be feeling a little better now. (and she is napping, thats why I have time to blog. don't judge.)  And really, I do have some wonderful memories from this weekend to cheer me up.  I guess things even out in the end.
:: a special shout out to Jeff. he did an AMAZING job this weekend, leaving me worry free. thanks love, I owe yah one ::

sad. the puking and missed play date part. once the throw up and dry heaving stop, then the diarrhea kicks in. i'm not sure which one's worse.
