She says
She says
"Sometimes I feel obvious."
A beginningless need to be slight,
in soul, in presence.
Paper thin in being.
Fade,
to more freely understand.
pretentious and boring, raw and endearing
perceived, and digested
She says
"Leave me, and hear me."
Quiet words,
small whispers.
Wide-eyed, the heard is precious.
Push hard against the wall,
press your hands against textured paint.
Think small
be unnoticeable,
and sweeten the worth of notice.
She says
"I did not call, I only shouted."
She says
"See me, it is only words collected."

angela- blush. you know how much I value your opinion. thank you.
i'm guessing the 23 by your name is how awesome that poem is on a scale of 1 to 10.. right? cause i agree.
my favorite thing about reading your writing is that, in them, i find expression of me that i've never been able to put into words. i find understanding and connection.
it's almost too much.
which is why it's taken me this long to find words to comment.
your writing is stunningly beautiful.
trev - you are too kind. and I don't know when it started, but I always put my age by my poems so I can remember when it was, approx. it helps me remember what was going on when I wrote them.
:: i.e. :: "chelsea -14" the poem was about zack dana.
sar - may I call you sar? thank you. truly. made me smile so widely. I read it half a dozen times. ok, minus the half part.
