my first born

look at this face.

this is not the face of my little baby so little, so tiny, so vulnerable. she is too big, too tall, too independent. she's got personality. she's got humor. she's got attitude. she's 18 months old today. 

also on this day she rocked her first pony tail. looks pretty great. but it also makes her look like a little girl, not a baby any more. she's an amazing little girl, my petra baby. my pita monkey. pita pie. my pita pita pumpkin eata. my punkin' face. my puddin' pop. my pita blue eyes. petra loves to dance, hop like a bunny, watch backyardigans, knock down block towers, go for walks, laugh at mommy and daddy, close doors and drawers, and read stories. she is independent and doesn't like to cuddle much, but when she does, it is the yummiest thing in the world. she has curly hair and 12 teeth. she likes fruit snacks, apple sauce (or "salsa"), drinkable yogurt ("do-do" for the dora the explorer on the outside), and asparagus. most animals are puppies or "meows", even birds, and she loves em. she's a winner, this one.
