five things I love about my new town.
1. real-life raccoons walking past my window, then staring me down. I am working on getting a picture.
2. green green trees against grey grey skies. never fails to make me smile and I am convinced it never will.
3. unexpected sunny days making a spontaneous park trip a necessity.
4. people groaning about the prospect of 90 degree weather. ha.
5. the views I see on a daily basis move me deeply, and make me reverence the creation in a whole new way.
five things I like to wear right now.
1. these jeans from old navy. they actually, actually, actually fit just like I never thought I would ever find. when they say "short" they actually fit MY short legs. I am happy.
2. comfy shirts from urban. on clearance. awesome.
3. brown boots from forever 21. just the right amount of slouch. a gift. thanks jade.
4. leggings and jeff's old shirts for hanging at home.
5. red flats from steve madden. broken in. comfy. make me feel "in"
five things I would do with oodles of time AND money.
(just for me and not for anybody else, in a perfect world where everyone else was taken care of)
1. buy brand new bedding, super soft, super pretty, super superfluous, then sleep in.
2. buy fancy, organic, intoxicating scented bath products, AND a kohler shower, then shower for an hour.
3. spend all morning shopping for new books, old books, beautiful books, then read all afternoon.
4. buy fancy, soft, perfectly tailored pajamas, then lounge.
5. build me a crazy huge obnoxious closet, buy clothes to fill it, then organize to my hearts content.
(yes, I am a woman who wants a big closet. so sue me)
five things I am looking forward to.
1. christmas. I love me some holiday spirit. (yes I am that person, too.)
2. myke coming to visit in a week. hoorah!
3. tomorrow's trip to lake sammamish with our friends, john and kari.
4. saying the word "sammamish" over and over tomorrow.
5. an exciting summer full of new adventure, day trips, and a new season on "the bachelorette".
