we did some stuff this week, yeah just some stuff.
friday:
petra tried out a brand new swim suit, (for a water park that turned out to be broken) and borrowed a scooter, because it matched her outfit.
she discovered funny faces in the mirror at the mall play place, with a new friend of course.
the mall brings me joy, at times, too...
saturday:
we celebrated jeff's birthday by going to, where else, claim jumpers,
because nothing says celebration like proportions the size of your head.
(I realize I missed half of birthday boys face, what can I say, we are not a photogenic fam. we take what we can get)
sunday:
self portraits in the car as we arrive at, where else, the nature preserve, for a walk.
(thank you, iphoto retouch. don't I look like I slept well?)
the path was nearly covered by tree branches. how cool it was, hidden from the sun.
wednesday:
fast forward a few days to wednesday. concert in the park.
no, thats not a really small person, just a really big chair.
her name is cyndi soup. seriously.
petra seemed more into the mc'd's happy meal (thanks, lynn!) than the show at first.
but eventually (when she was done eating) she got into the show and danced it out.
not bad eh?

ps- check the piercing blue eyes on you two ladies.!.! wowsa. i always dreamed of getting older and getting blue colored contacts. i wanted to be a california girl w/blond hair and blue eyes. maybe in the next life...

a week full of activities that can not be done in an arizona summer make me happy.

thanks to you Rylee had a blast this past week. It's now Monday and we're still trying to convince Rylee that we are cool parents, way to out do us! Anyways, lets get together sometime this week!
what a fun week, chels. that concert in the park looks like such a fun activity for kids. i wish it wasn't 112 degrees here so we could do fun things like that.
