"we're loyal, like brothers"

or sisters? or brother and sister? hmm
this one
is going to be a big sister.
now that we have finally been home again, home again,
and told most everyone that reads this blog anyway,
I can post about it.
my most recent absence from the blogosphere can be attributed to this very thing, for many reasons. I am pregnant (whew, it feels good to finally type that) and therefore tired, cranky, hungry, nauseous and hormonal. making sitting and blogging more of a chore than anything else. that, and it's hard to think of material not including my condition when it's pretty much most of what I think about. since we were keeping it a secret so we could tell our families in person, I avoided the blog as not to slip up and blow our element of surprise. of course, I am now out of the first trimester, and I think I will start feeling better. hopefully. soon.
Father in Heaven willing, our baby will arrive in the spring, mid to late May.
we are excited, nervous and feeling blessed.
now for our trip. we just got back from a trip to az/california/az. it coincided with Halloween which made for extra fun.
cupcakes with the cousins.
our traditional first trick-or-treat stop, great grandma reed's.
(pee-wee, joker, and the flapper)
then off to the beach... her first trip to the sand on her own two feet.
cousins and buddies.
the first day... wet and loving it...
the second day... not so much.
at least she looked adorable.
farewell, Crystal Pier...
back to the dessert, and sunday nights on the trampoline.
red haired sisters
crazy trampoline hair
memories for a life time.
ah, home. every time I love it, every time I come home with a pit in my stomach.
thanks for the good time family, we love you.

congrats again! i'm glad we got to hang in the az.

and, oh, do i understand that pit in the stomach that comes from returning somewhere that doesn't feel like the right kind of home. then i go into a bit of a mourning period. then a few days later everything is ok again. ah, the cycle.

speaking of gorge... that petra!

congrats on the pregnancy, once again! enjoy your one on one time with your little pita.

funny thing - ava was almost a flapper for halloween too, until my aunt sent me a bunch of old princess dresses that my grandma made many years ago.
