The thing that God wrapped in a body and turned into a man.”*
I stayed up late last night to clean. I cleaned the kitchen and the guest bathroom, including the floors.
I organized the closet.
I exfoliated my feet. I laid on my back on the floor and stared at the ceiling. I found and read old poetry from my teens. Mostly terrible, but a decent phrase here and there.
I thought about being young, and whatever that meant. I thought about paint colors. I did a little inventory, and made a few plans. Lists.
But mostly I relished the quiet and hearing my thoughts and held my breath every time a child stirred.

i've always thought that you and your siblings resembled each other in some manner, but not until this picture did i ever see the absolute similarities between you and ashley.
here's to getting things done, and some quiet time to yourself.
you're pretty.
laying back on the carpet, knees bent, staring at the ceiling is my favorite.
