my aunt nelly came to visit!

we went to dinner and had hamburgers. my dinner looked like chicken nuggets, but it was mac and cheese bites!

we made funny faces too.

we went to the toy store and played trains.

she made rilla laugh with a orangutan puppet!

mom bought us pin wheels, I call them "spinnies" because I thought pinwheels didn't make any sense.

we played in the back yard when we waited to go to whidbey island.

and ate lunch at a restaurant with blueberry pancakes.

then we walked around the island in the rain

and took the ferry home. I matched aunt nelly!

aunt nelly is my very best friend, and I miss her very very much!

having chanel here is like getting a best friend, a therapist, a nanny, and a hero all in one visit. my girls adored her and were oh so sad to see her go. I was quite sad myself. she is one of my favorite people on planet earth and I look up to her so much, even if she is the little sister. come again nels, I love you! besides, I really need an excuse to make salted carmel brownies again...
