lots to say, lots to tell.

What a life changing week.
Thursday:
Jeff graduates from ASU W.P. Carey School of Business, summa cum laude.
Could a wife be more proud?
That night his parents threw him a grad party, and it was nice to celebrate. But we stayed up way too late...
Friday:
We were up at 4:45am, to my parents dropping of Petra by 6:30am, and on a plane to Seattle by 8:15am.  This is what Jeff looks like on three hours of sleep, in a cramped middle plane seat, about an hour and a half into the flight. not bad eh?
We spent the rest of the day seeing apartments and exploring the area north of Seattle. After riding all day in the car, we weren't the best of company going to dinner with Jeff's friend Rachel who lives in Bellevue. I think I said some quite loopy things being so tired and frustrated. (the search did not go so well the first day, and I was somewhat discouraged). Rachel was kind to us anyway and it was good to see her again.
Saturday:
We woke up fairly early and hit up a few more places. We found one that we liked fairly well, but weren't in love with. We were tired of looking, and I almost suggested we just skip the rest of the places  and be done, but we decided to check out the rest of the places anyway, while we were there. And I am very glad we did....
okay so this isn't the exact view from our window, but its pretty close. The last place we had planned to look at was our winner. It is in Mill Creek in an apartment complex that was in our price range, but is being completely remodeled. The inside is going to be all new and have a more modern look then most apartments. Our apartment is in the back corner of the complex, and we back up to a nature preserve. Its absolutely gorgeous. I love that from my window I get to see trees and not buildings or cars. Supposedly the neighbors in our foursome corner are as follows: across the way, younger couple with a one year old (possible friends??) above them is an older couple with no children, and across from them above us, the asset manager of the complex who is usually out of town (no more nocturnal heavy walkers above us!). It sounds like it is a pretty great set up for an apartment. It is also across the way from the Mill Creek Towne Center, which has lots of shops and restaurants to check out.
I am feeling much less anxiety over moving now that I can picture where we are headed. I will still miss home alot, but at least now I can picture and plan. Besides that... the cold beckons me.

Glad you guys finally found a place! House hunting is never fun to do especially when you only have a few days to do it!
